Elder Cache Troy Johnson

This week has been full of sadness and joy. It was super sad to leave my family in Idaho but it was a joy to be done with home mtc and to finally meet the brostrict in person.  On wednesday at 6am i got on a flight to salt lake city Utah and was picked up by my aunt. We went to breakfast at kneaders and then saw some cousins really fast. after that we went to the provo temple and took some pictures before being dropped off.  The MTC experience so far is actually really fun! My companion is super chill and we get along really well. Its so nice to finally meet the brostrict in real life along with all my boys from Idaho.  Today was our Pday and we got to do baptisms at the provo city center which was sick. Afterwards we played basketball and soccer. basketball is so fun but almost all the elders here play D1 in college so its hard to beat them. What's up everyone? I hope you are all doing well. This is my first official email after starting my mission. I originally wasn't going to send one because I thought home MTC was going to be boring but it was the complete opposite.  On monday, I met my companion and my district for the first time. My companion's name is Elder Strong (we call him Elder Fuerte) And he is from Austin Texas. He is going to the Madrid Spain South mission which is pretty cool because everyone else in our district is going to north, central or south america on their missions.  MY DISTRICT IS AWESOME! There are 17 people in my district and we are all elders. There are no hermanas (sisters) in our group which is pretty unheard of. On top of that, 17 is the most people you can have in a district, so we're the biggest district the MTC has seen in a while.  Our district has started to call ourselves the "BroStrict" since there are no hermanas. Cache Troy Johnson received his mission call on April 11, 2023 to the Ecuador Guayaquil West Mission. It was an exciting day with friends and family.  He starts home MTC on August 21, flies to the Provo, Utah MTC on August 30, then flies to Ecuador on October 5th.
