Another week, another semana.  Whats up everyone! I hope everyone has been doing good this past week.  First off I have had a couple people ask if they can message me and the answer is, Yes. If anyone wanted to send me a message i can recieve and read it anytime during the week but i cant respond until Mondays.  Alright, now into the good stuff. This week i got transfered to Guayaquil! I am in the sector, Porvenir, and it is also the smallest sector in the whole mission. We could walk from the top of our area to the bottom in 8 minutes. My new companion is Elder Mosquera and he is from colombia. He is super chill and im super glad to be able to serve with him. I am also living with 2 other Elders, Elder Saldana from peru and Elder Wagner from good ol Boise Idaho.  This week has also been a little tought because my companion and I are whitewashing my area too. Whitewashing means that me and my companion havent been in our area before so neither of us know who t...

Whats up everyone! I hope you all had an amazing week.  Last tuesday one of our zone leaders did divisions with the elders that live upstairs and that night we all moved our beds into our house downstairs in our living room and did a sleepover and it was pretty hype.  Wednesday i had an exchange with an elder from arizona and he only has 1 more transfer than me and it was soo fun! It was good to be able to speak english with him and our spanish during our lessons were pretty good. That night we bought this food called Chili-papa with the zone leaders and holy guacamole its so good. Its super unhealthy but its worth it lol.  Thursday was more of a tough day im ngl I decided to just smile this whole week and hope that the days get better or that the days start to fly by.  Friday was wayy better. My companion and i talked some things out and got stuff off our chests and both started to feel a lot better. We taught a lot of good lessons. We had a movie night activ...

Whats up everyone. Sorry for not getting an email out last it was super busy BUT, i am safe in ecuador.  The day after i sent out my last email we were informed that we could start proselyting normally again but we couldnt bring our phone out of the house. As of right now the rules are still the same.  This past thursday we were able to go to the temple! This was super fun because i havent been able to go yet. As soon as we walked through the doors i was hit with the spirit super strongly. It was awesome.  This past saturday we also had a baptism for one of the kids we have been teaching! He is super awesome and it was a special moment to see his commitment to folowing the savior. He had the biggest smile on his face afterwards and it was sooo cool.  We also had divisions this past week in Guayaquil because we left wednesday, had interviews with president and then slept in guayaquil and went to the temple the next day. So on wednesday during our divisions we w...

Image
Yep, you read the title right so lets get right in to it.  Basically this past tuesday I started my exchange with an elder in Ancon. We just got to our area thats 30 minutes away from the ancon house. We started walking to lunch and we get a message from the mission president saying that everyone had to go back to their houses Immediatly. Shortly after we got this message, an alarm started going off in Atualpa (The town we were in) And it was an alarm for gangs.  Eventually we made it back to the ancon house and we found out that the president of Ecuador waged war on every gang here to try and exterminate the gangs and the violence. So in response the gangs started fighting back and lighting cars on fire and holding people hostage and all sorts of stuff. So now im serving in the middle of a Civil War.  I am still serving in the Peninsula so I am a lot safer than those missionaries in Guayaquil but we have restrictions. When we go to eat lunch with members we have t...
