WEEK 1-Achievement Unlocked: The Beginning

What's up everyone? I hope you are all doing well. This is my first official email after starting my mission. I originally wasn't going to send one because I thought home MTC was going to be boring but it was the complete opposite.
On monday, I met my companion and my district for the first time. My companion's name is Elder Strong (we call him Elder Fuerte) And he is from Austin Texas. He is going to the Madrid Spain South mission which is pretty cool because everyone else in our district is going to north, central or south america on their missions.
MY DISTRICT IS AWESOME! There are 17 people in my district and we are all elders. There are no hermanas (sisters) in our group which is pretty unheard of. On top of that, 17 is the most people you can have in a district, so we're the biggest district the MTC has seen in a while.
Our district has started to call ourselves the "BroStrict" since there are no hermanas. Our classes consist of studying Preach My Gospel, and messing around with kendamas. Kendamas are wooden sticks with a ball attached by a string and you have to make the ball into cups. (it's hard to explain) Everyone in my district connected super well after day 2 when we had a testimony meeting that night. It's so cool to talk with these elders I've never met before, even though it feels like we've known each other for years. The brotherly bond is strong, even through a computer screen. I leave for the Provo MTC on Wednesday and I can't wait to meet the "brostrict" in person.
Anyways, I don't want to make this email too long so i'll make this last part quick.
Spiritual thought:
God is real. He knows each and every one of us personally and knows our struggles. I know that if we come to Him, we can make weak things become strong (Fuerte).
Ether 12:27 - "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."
Thank you guys so much! If you ever want to contact me, send me an email or message me on facebook messenger.
