WEEK 93: Achievement Unlocked: Miracle FB Reference

 Gooooooooood morning 


A couple weeks ago we got an online reference of a lady named Susana. We have been in contact with her on whatsapp but had never met with us in person. She called us and told us that she wants to learn more and that she has some grandkids that haven't been baptized yet (foreshadowing) 

We decided to just go to her house and find her on Tuesday and we did! We taught her and her grandson Freddy who is 18 and the most giga Chad exuadorian I have met so far. We talked to them about baptism and left. 

A couple days later we get a call from the STL's saying that we needed to help their friends get baptized. I said Clarooo and hopped into my pearly white fit to help their friends get bapped. We invited Freddy and Susana to come watch the baptism and they came 😈

Freddy had expressed to us that he feels like somethings missing on the inside and he doesn't know what. I told him that what he was missing was the spirit in his life and that through baptism he can have the spirit as a constant companion. After the baptism we taught the most power lesson on baptism and temples and extended them the invitation to be baptized the 28th of June. As we finished the invitacion the sun perfectly fell on us through the windows and they accepted to be baptized 🤫🥱😤

On Sunday we have stake conference and the Area 70 came to give a talk. He talked about how people use the excuse of, "oh I act this way so it's harder for me to follow this commandment" or oh I'm not breaking the word of wisdom if I only drink a little alcohol every so often". The room then got quiet so that the spirit could speak to our souls when the 70 said, "Good is Good, Bad is Bad, you all already know this, so why come up with excuses to break the commandments of God and sin. BOOOM I was shook with the spirit and I know everyone else in the room was too. 

So always remember that frase, "Good is good, bad is bad." You already know right from wrong so don't lie to yourself and say that Bad is good, and good is bad.

17 But whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil, and believe not in Christ, and deny him, and serve not God, then ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of the devil; for after this manner doth the devil work, for he persuadeth no man to do good, no, not one; neither do his angels; neither do they who subject themselves unto him.

 Feliz Año!!  I'm not gonna lie the New Year was CRAZY here. There were fireworks going off literally everywhere. All along the horizon and people were lighting fireworks off in front of our house so they were above us too. It was awesome.  There are these things here called munigotes and they are paper machete statues of every USA thing you could think of and at the end of the year they fill them up with dynamite and just light them off in the streets. We weren't able to watch any unfortunately because we had to be in our house at 6pm yesterday.  Last night we played 5 crowns because one of the elders in my house brought it from home and we had sparkling cider as well. It was super cool because that's what my family at home ended up doing for new years as well. It was cool to live that tradition 4000 miles away lol. We had transfers this past week and I am still in my same area in the peninsula with my Guatemalan companion AND we're finally not in a trio anymore....

Week 99: ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: BOM Miracle

  Wsg yall  First off I just wanna say that the Book of Mormon is TRUE. Like holy cow every single time I read it there is no doubt in my mind that God truly called prophets to the Americas and he called them to write their history and dealings with God  Increíble  This week we contacted a evangelist-Christian with the BOM. We asked her if her kids wanted to accompany us in the lesson but she said no because they follow her and her religion. She explained to us that she already knew Christ and that she didn't need to know more about him. We offered to give her the BOM and she said, "No but please give it to someone who has an open heart and is willing to listen to your message" So we left.  A couple minutes later a truck pulled up next to us and called us over. WEEK 29: Achievement Unlocked: The Office

  This week started off like normal. A little slow, not really teaching anybody, the usual. My comp and I started making plans on how to improve the sector and we were talking about writing a song because we got permission to play guitar throughout the week.  This week was also transfer week. My comp and I didn't think much of it because we white washed the sector, which means we both started at the same time. We hopped on a call and I heard, "Elder Johnson has transfers". WHAT. How the heck do I have transfers? I was distraught, sad, angry. I didn't want to leave the sector or live with new elders and a new companion. I also had only been in my sector for 1 transfer. I eventually said bye to all the members, and packed my bags.  Transfer day. We drove to the office and I was nervous. I didn't know where I was going or who I would be put with.
