  Howdy yall, whats up? I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays! I hope you all had an amazing Christmas around the fire and spending the day serving others while drinking hot chocolate. For Christmas My companion and I made a five stack of pancakes and spent the morning calling our family and playing games with the other elders in our house.  Also, Happy new Years¡ This week I want to share with you all a miracle that we experienced this week. This past Friday my companion and I put study time at night because we had a lot of visits during the day. We got back to our house around 7:30 at night and started studying. At 8 I got a prompting that we needed to leave the house. It didn't make too much sense because we need to be home at 8;30.  As we were leaving the house I saw a specific street in my mind and I told my companion that we needed to go to that street. Hello everyone and FELIZ NAVIDAD!!! This week we went to our mission president's house for a Christmas activity. We decorated christmas ornaments and ate breakfast and then we had an activity where our mission president and his wife gave us a christmas devocional.  Today for Pday, we did a white elephant gift exchange and I got a plastic golf set. We also got permission from our mission president to watch Home Alone and the grinch with cumberbatch. Both the movies are super good and gave me a good Christmas spirit. 

  This past week flew by.  On Tuesday we had exchanges with the zone leaders which was super fun. On Friday we traveled back to Guayaquil for a new missionary training meeting.  Saturday night we went to go and visit some members and they told us that we showed up 5 seconds after a shootout happened outside of their house. We kept hearing gunshots, so we went into the members house and stayed there until 9:30 when we thought it was safe to go home.   Wsg yall. Anotha week anotha treat  yeah, this week absolutely flew by again and its so crazy that thanksgiving was last week and that christmas is this month! I had transfers this week and I went back to the beach! Im now in a sector called Posorja and I am training again! I am finishing the training of Elder Gomez from Colombia  We also had a baptism last saturday! It was super cool to go to but now that im at the beach again I had to take a 2 hour bus ride to Guayaquil and back.  In my new house we have air-conditioning in our room so I have been getting some VERY good sleep lately lol.  This emails gonna be a little short because we are currently in the bus right now but I wanted to send out a little update.  Love God.  Buenaaas tardes yall This week FLEW by. I cant even believes that its Monday again but let's get into it.  This past Wednesday (I think) my companion and I were turning left on a corner when we heard 4 gunshots a block away from us to our right so we started running. Don't worry mom, we are safe 😁 The coolest part about that experience for me was that I didn't feel scared at all. I heard the gunshots and knew what they were but I felt normal, and I felt a peace. It reminded me a lot of president Russell M. Nelson's talk this past conference when he was in times of danger but felt an unmistakable peace.  We also had a baptism yesterday! We baptized a girl named Ashley and we started teaching her 3 weeks ago!   Yo wsg. This past week absolutely FLEW by. I literally have no idea how it's pday already.  My comp has been teaching me how to cook so this past week I bought some chicken and made my first healthy meal in the mission 💪 We found a new familiy this week and they all showed up to church after 4 days of teaching them! The mom is super awesome and already believes in the gospel and is telling her kids and husband that its true.  This past week I have developed a huge love for the Book Of Mormón. I'm not gonna lie, my whole mission I've kinda slacked on my study of the scriptures. I have watched conferences talks, book of mormon videos, read PMG, but none of them are good substitutes for ACTUALLY reading the scriptures.  This past week I prayed so that I could have the desire to read the scriptures and now, it's one of the only things I look forward to in my day.  I have been reading in Alma in the story of captain Moroni and wanted to share with you all this scr...

  Buenos días a todos!  This past Thursday we had zone conference! It was also halloween so the other elders and I pulled up with spiderman masks in our suits. We learned a lot about our mision purpose and finding the "Why" in why we are serving a mission  On Friday we had Interviews with president and It was pretty cool. We talked about things that could be stopping me from progressing as a missionary and my favorite page in Preach my Gospel. I love being able to talk with president. He also gave me a chocolate chip cookie and it was so good because I hadnt eaten a chocolate chip cookie in 14 months 😋 Last transfer was pretty tough for me. I had a hard time with my companion, área, and the people we were teaching. I hit an all time low and got pretty homesick and lost my desire to work as a missionary.
