WEEK 5- Achievement Unlocked: Zone Leader

 ¡Buenos días a todos! 

I swear time goes by way faster while in the MTC. The days are long but the weeks are short. This week has kind of been the same with waking up, working out, eating and going to class. All my days are relatively the same so it's hard to remember what I did each day lol. 
On a high note though, my Spanish is getting a lot better! It's still not the best but while in class I can roughly say what I want to say in very broken spanish. Yesterday my district did, Hablar Su Idioma, (which translates to, "speak your language") Hablar su Idioma is where you put colored tags on your mission tag and you have to only speak your mission language. We aren't supposed to start until next week but we decided it would be fun to practice beforehand. IT IS TOUGH. My district and I found 5 Spanish phrases and jokes, and have been repeating them constantly which probably isn't a good way to learn lol.
Kind of random this week, but Bonnie Cordon showed up to the cafeteria. For those who don't know who she is, she used to be the relief society General President which is kinda cool. Speaking of the cafeteria, The food is slowly getting worse and worse. I don't know how we were eating pretty decent food to eating straight glop and mush. 
ANYWAY, you all are probably curious about the title of this email. Tuesday night my companion and I were called to be Zone Leaders since the old ones left yesterday. Let me do a bit of explaining for those who don't know what this is. When you get to the MTC you are put into a district and there is 1 District leader who watches over those people. Multiple districts are put together to make a branch or zone. The zone leaders are in charge of the branch (multiple districts) 
Being a Zone leader is pretty fun so far! there was a new district that came in on wednesday so we gotta go introduce ourselves and explain some of the MTC rules to them. Thursday night we went and introduced ourselves to the districts that have already been here. There used to be 8 districts in our branch but now we're down to 4 since half the districts left on their missions Thursday morning. 
Spiritual Thought:
On Tuesday night we had a devotional from a member of the 70, Marcus B. Nash. He talked about how he went back to his mission in El Salvador while being a general authority. While there, he wanted to talk to all the people in a park that they went to, but got cut short because of time. He then said that he could have touched the lives of everyone at that park just by talking with them. This was powerful and very true. We could touch the lives of so many people just by talking with them. You never know what someone is going through and you could be the person to make their day better. 
My one invitation for this week is to find someone you don't know and just talk with them. You don't have to talk for 20 minutes but you could just say hi to someone, or compliment something that someone else has. I know for a fact that it will make their day better, and your day better.

  Yo wsg. This past week absolutely FLEW by. I literally have no idea how it's pday already.  My comp has been teaching me how to cook so this past week I bought some chicken and made my first healthy meal in the mission 💪 We found a new familiy this week and they all showed up to church after 4 days of teaching them! The mom is super awesome and already believes in the gospel and is telling her kids and husband that its true.  This past week I have developed a huge love for the Book Of Mormón. I'm not gonna lie, my whole mission I've kinda slacked on my study of the scriptures. WEEK 82: Achievement Unlocked: I Lost My Suitcase on a Bus

  Good morning, good afternoon, ans good evening ☀️ This past wednesday I ended Intercambios with some elders that live 1 hour away from us in bus. I put my suitcase on the bottom part of the bus because it was too big to take with me up top. We get off the bus with like 20 other people and before I know it, the bus is gone with all of my stuff.  I had my personal scriptures in english, my clothes, my study materials, chargers, etc. Luckily, before I left the house I felt the impression to take out my wallet which had 80 dollars in it.  We went to the bus terminal and found out that there are over 50 buses that come and go every 15 minutes to the terminal here in Posorja and Guayaquil (Guayaquil is 2 hours away from us in bus) and if I didn't know the bus number it would be hard to find... WEEK 8: Achievement Unlocked: The Ocean

  ¡Buenas todos!  This week has been more on the rough side, I'm going to be honest. Spanish is so tough. I am doing a good job learning words and sharing scriptures in my testimony. The Ecuadorians speak sooooo fast so it's hard to hear what they're saying but, with more practice and listening I hope I can learn fast.  We have also been teaching a lot of lessons and they are going good so far! We invited a couple people to church and most of them showed up, which was awesome. We also have been doing a lot of lessons with 2 members in our ward. They are both super awesome to teach with and they have been showing us where all the members in our ward live which helps out a ton. I don't know what they say half the time so I just smile and nod my head lol.  Today for P-day we went to a place called La Chocolatera which is on the very tip of the peninsula of Ecuador.
