WEEK 6: Achievement Unlocked: Gringo Spanish

 Buenos Dias!

This is going to be my last email that I send from the MTC! Which is so weird to think about. We get our flight plans later today but I'm pretty sure I'm leaving next thursday. ALSO, once I get to Ecuador my P-day is going to switch from friday to monday. So the next email yall get might be in 10 days... Muy triste.

This week has been a fun week so far. Elder Strong and I got to go introduce ourselves to the new district on wednesday. One of the kids is a fellow Idahoan from Meridian so shoutout to him. This last sunday, my companion and I had the pleasure of planning sacrament meeting AND 2 separate elders quorum meetings. It wasn't too bad tho, we just had to assign prayers and who did the sacrament.
Ok, my spanish is getting better except I realized how much gringo spanish I speak. I have done a good job at memorizing flashcards but my sentence structure is pretty bad and I still need to work on conjugations. HOWEVER, at the time of writing this email I just finished a nice conversation with my good friend Elder Clark and I was able to hold a whole conversation with him in just spanish. Big W.
Yesterday our class had to sign an agreement to only speak spanish for the next week at the MTC including friends. The only exception is if we talk to any workers or if we call home. It has been a very fun but humbling experience lol. I do just fine listening to Spanish and can understand a good 60-70% of it but my problem is speaking. My companion and I have done a couple practice appointments to prepare ourselves for teaching in the field and my companion speaks maybe 80 percent of the time lol.
Random thought: I have been getting a lot of DeJa vu lately.
Anyways, love yourself and love your neighbor. know that I love yall and god loves y'all.
Nos Vemos
