WEEK 15: achievement unlocked: Light the World

 This week was soo good

First off, this week was so crazy. My companion Elder Anderson goes home tomorrow so he was in guayaquil a lot with another missionary for meetings.
We had a christmas conference this week and it was so fun! First we listened to some talks by the mission president, his wife, and the APs. After wards we had a white elephant gift exchange and I'm not gonna lie, my present was kinda lame, and I know it was from a sister because I got fuzzy socks and a little snowman. After, we had lunch and the lunch was soooo good. It was chicken, non white rice and broccoli. After we made Christmas cookies at presidents house and then went home.
We also had 3 more baptisms this weekend! The work out here in the peninsula is super super good. I love baptisms because it shows the person's commitment to drop everything and follow christ even when it's hard.
This week I had a couple rough days with some things that came up and for all the missionaries struggling right now, I would HIGHLY recommend reading, "adjusting to missionary life" anyways, I came across the scripture,
3 Nephi 12 44-45
44 But behold I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them who despitefully use you and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father who is in heaven; for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good.
I love the part where it says that God made the sun and it shines on the good and the bad people. We are all his children and sometimes people are going to be rude to us or annoy us. The best thing we can do is be nice. Even if you truly despise someone, be nice.
I love you all!
