WEEK 33: Achievement Unlocked: 1/3

 Goooood morning everyone!!

To start off, We contacted this one girl the other week and she seemed a little "too" interested in the church for a normal contact. My companion and I thought that she was acting like a snake. (Snake is a girl that's more interested in the missionaries than the gospel) eventually she texted us and told us she was looking for the Ideal Christian man to be with in her life... we told her no and sent her an online pamphlet of the law of chastity.

This week the power has been going out a ton. The power went out 4 times at 3 in the morning and let me tell you, sleeping without a fan blowing on me, makes me feel like the old timer missionaries from 50 years ago burning all the time in the heat. It's miserable.

It also has been raining a lot this past week. I love the rain a lot especially because it's cloudy and there's no sun BUT, it has been so humid lately and I will walk maybe 3 steps and already be dripping in sweat. That part isn't fun.

We are teaching a guy named Grant (I changed his name) (now it's my brother's name🤌) and grant loves basketball so before teaching him he wanted to 1v1 me (because I'm white and apparently every white guy is good at basketball) so I did. The only catch, was that there was no hoop and we just tried to get the ball to the other side of the street lol. Shoutout to all the boys I played basketball with before the mission that prepared me for that moment.

On Saturday we took the bus to go to grants house when we took the bus a little to long and got off on the wrong street. As we were walking I thought to myself, "why the heck did we get off late? We never miss the stop" we then passed a group of girls and an old man and the old man beckoned us to talk with them. We shared the story of Enos and invited them to church and lo and behold one of the girls came to church! But, we don't know if she is truly interested or if she is a snake. She is turned 17 yesterday and has a 16 month old baby.

Speaking of 16 months, that's how much time I have left! I hit 8 months yesterday and the time is flying by super fast. I know I still have 16 months left of my mission but I'm already getting sad to leave lol. I love it here on the mission 💪💪

Yesterday we had dinner at a members house and watched the Abinadi BOM video. I would highly recommend watching it👌

Spiritual thought:

I was watching some church videos in my personal study and came across this video that talks about spiritual eclipses. It talks about how the sun is the love and peace we can feel from Christ but sometimes the moon comes and blocks out the light for a little bit and then the sun returns.

We need to try and stay away from these spiritual eclipses in our lives. It can block out the spirit of Christ to the point where we might do something we regret.

Spiritual Eclipse

I lo

ve you all!! 🫶🫶
