WEEK 34: Achievement Unlocked: Consejo de Líderes

 Gooooood morning everybody! 


This week was another super fast week and I honestly don't know where all the time goes. 

On Tuesday we had interviews with President and it was pretty good. After I had Exchanges with Elder Coronado. He is from Quito Ecuador and has 2 months on the mission. We bought wings and a burrito and the burrito compares with a chicken burrito from Costa Vida (I miss Costa Vida 🤌🫶)

On Thursday some guys came over and switched the sink faucet and now there's no room to fill up my water bottle because of how long the faucet it. 

On Friday we had the Leadership counsel. This is a counsel with Presiden, the APs, and all the zone leaders in the mission. And us lol. It was a super cool meeting because we talked about the mission and how we can help the elders and sisters and how we can improve the mission. I loved it. 

Afterwards, we ate lunch and I was able to talk with the zone leaders and some friends I've made in the mission. 

Last Saturday we had an invasion in the hermanas sector. An invasion is where every missionary in the sector contacts in 1 sector for a couple hours. So there was a good 10 missionaries contacting in the hermanas area and it was sick. 

Saturday as well, we had a movie night where we watched the movie, "Meet the Mormons". None of our investigators showed up and half the ward canceled at the last second but it was still pretty fun.

A little update about the sector is that we have a good 3 people truly progressing right now. They all have accepted the invitation to be baptized but we haven't put them on date. 

Spiritual thought: 

I was watching a video called, "Spiritual Crocodiles" In the video I learned that in Africa there are watering holes where animals go to drink. What they can't see are crocodiles waiting in the water to eat them. 

I love this video because it shows that some things seem enticing and fun and seem like nothing bad will happen. But we don't see Satan on the other side of the water waiting to grab us and pull us under. 

I also like the video because it shows crocodiles grabing and eating antelope and its pretty cool lol.

  Yo wsg. This past week absolutely FLEW by. I literally have no idea how it's pday already.  My comp has been teaching me how to cook so this past week I bought some chicken and made my first healthy meal in the mission 💪 We found a new familiy this week and they all showed up to church after 4 days of teaching them! The mom is super awesome and already believes in the gospel and is telling her kids and husband that its true.  This past week I have developed a huge love for the Book Of Mormón. I'm not gonna lie, my whole mission I've kinda slacked on my study of the scriptures. I have watched conferences talks, book of mormon videos, read PMG, but none of them are good substitutes for ACTUALLY reading the scriptures.  This past week I prayed so that I could have the desire to read the scriptures and now, it's one of the only things I look forward to in my day.  I have been reading in Alma in the story of captain Moroni and wanted to share with you all this scr...

WEEK 82: Achievement Unlocked: I Lost My Suitcase on a Bus

  Good morning, good afternoon, ans good evening ☀️ This past wednesday I ended Intercambios with some elders that live 1 hour away from us in bus. I put my suitcase on the bottom part of the bus because it was too big to take with me up top. We get off the bus with like 20 other people and before I know it, the bus is gone with all of my stuff.  I had my personal scriptures in english, my clothes, my study materials, chargers, etc. Luckily, before I left the house I felt the impression to take out my wallet which had 80 dollars in it.  We went to the bus terminal and found out that there are over 50 buses that come and go every 15 minutes to the terminal here in Posorja and Guayaquil (Guayaquil is 2 hours away from us in bus) and if I didn't know the bus number it would be hard to find... WEEK 8: Achievement Unlocked: The Ocean

  ¡Buenas todos!  This week has been more on the rough side, I'm going to be honest. Spanish is so tough. I am doing a good job learning words and sharing scriptures in my testimony. The Ecuadorians speak sooooo fast so it's hard to hear what they're saying but, with more practice and listening I hope I can learn fast.  We have also been teaching a lot of lessons and they are going good so far! We invited a couple people to church and most of them showed up, which was awesome. We also have been doing a lot of lessons with 2 members in our ward. They are both super awesome to teach with and they have been showing us where all the members in our ward live which helps out a ton. I don't know what they say half the time so I just smile and nod my head lol.  Today for P-day we went to a place called La Chocolatera which is on the very tip of the peninsula of Ecuador.
