WEEK 40: Achievement Unlocked: Gambling in the Streets

 Heeeeelloooo evvvveeerryone. Buenos días!

I hope everyone has had an amazing week this week!

To start off we starting teaching the neighbors of a member in our ward. They are super awesome and interested in the church but they aren't married so we gotta work on that.

We got a reference from some other elders the other day and we called the lady on Saturday. She had questions about the book of Mormon and then we invited her to church and she showed up the next day! This was a big miracle because literally no one in this sector has shown interest like her. Also, she told us she wants to learn more and is going to teach her kids what she has learned! W

This past week we have played a lot of DND in the house (dungeons and dragons) it's become our game that we play every night and it's been pretty fun.

Here in Ecuador there are a bunch of gambling machines where you put in 5 cents and then pick an object and see if you win. My comp told me there is a way to win almost 100% of the time. Let's just say I've played a couple times and now have a testimony that gambling sucks. (Its because I lost 20 cents.) (If I won it would've been cool) don't gamble kids.

This transfer has FLOWN by so fast. We have transfers this Thursday and I think I'm getting transferred but I would love to stay in this sector with my companion for 1 more transfer.

That's about all that happened this week! We are getting our haircuts right now and then we're going to chill in the capilla all day.

Spiritual thought: 2 Nefi 31:20

20 Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

An elder in my house shared this scripture the other day and it's powerful. If we press forward every day, listening and FEASTING upon the words of Christ and endure to the end we will obtain eternal life.

As well I would like to share my testimony that this scripture shares more blessings than just eternal life. There have been some mornings on the mission where I sleep during studies or talk with the other elders and don't read the words of Christ. Throughout the day I'm more tired and feel more lazy. I don't want to leave the house.

But, when I get a good elective study in every morning, I always feel energized throughout the day and I want to get out and work, and help other people learn about the gospel.

Thanks y'all for reading! Don't forget to leave a like. I'll see ya in the next one 🫡
