WEEK 96: Achievement Unlocked: Nocha Blanca

Image
Wsg yall, I bet you weren't expecting an email today 😤 Neither was I but let's get Into it.  I started my last transfer of the mission about 2 weeks ago. I stayed in my area with my companion E' Obando. I am super grateful to have had the opportunity to serve out here in the península. This is my 6th transfer in total out here because I started my mission here and now I'm ending in the same zone.  This past Saturday we had a Noche blanca (White night) in our ward. A Noche blanca is when 4 or more people get baptized in the same night. An hour before started we got a text from our friend who was going to get baptized saying that he didn't think he was prepared to get baptized. We immediately hopped in a members car and started driving to his house. The only problem was that we had no idea where he lived because we always taught him in his grandma's house. (His grandma was also going to get baptized)  So, In the car we said a prayer asking heavenly father to gui...

WEEK 93: Achievement Unlocked: Miracle FB Reference

Image
Gooooooooood morning  A couple weeks ago we got an online reference of a lady named Susana. We have been in contact with her on whatsapp but had never met with us in person. She called us and told us that she wants to learn more and that she has some grandkids that haven't been baptized yet (foreshadowing)  We decided to just go to her house and find her on Tuesday and we did! We taught her and her grandson Freddy who is 18 and the most giga Chad exuadorian I have met so far. We talked to them about baptism and left.  A couple days later we get a call from the STL's saying that we needed to help their friends get baptized. I said Clarooo and hopped into my pearly white fit to help their friends get bapped. We invited Freddy and Susana to come watch the baptism and they came 😈 Freddy had expressed to us that he feels like somethings missing on the inside and he doesn't know what. I told him that what he was missing was the spirit in his life and that through baptis...

WEEK 89: Achievement Unlocked: Hospital Part 2

First off Happy mothers day to all the Beautiful kind mothers here in the world 😁🙏 (Mines the best one) (Its not even a debate)  This week flew by like always so ill hit yall with the updates.  We had a baptism a couple weeks ago. We got 8 new people to church yesterday. I started learning to play the piano again.  I am currently in the hospital right now because the 2 elders that I am living with are sick. There are 2 really nasty virus going around. One is this sickness that makes you cough all the time and the other is yellow fever.  We have been told that 1 Elder has bronchitis amd the other has pneumonia.  Enos 1:4-8 4 And my soul hungered; and I kneeled down before my Maker, and I cried unto him in mighty prayer and supplication for mine own soul; and all the day long did I cry unto him; yea, and when the night came I did still raise my voice high that it reached the heavens.  5 And there came a voice unto me, saying: Enos, thy sins are f...

Week 87: ACHEIVEMENT UNLOCKED: Emergency Room (not clickbait)

Image
Goooood morning everyone.  This week has probably been one of the most interesting and random weeks of my whole mission.  To start off, 2 RMs who served in this mission came back to visit this week so we played soccer with them and it was super good to see my old ZL again.  I put on sunscreen and STILL got burnt on Monday, so my forehead was peeling on Thursday making me feel like I was Micheal Jackson the way my skin tone changed.  This past Saturday was crazy. First off we had a service and we were shovling dirt. A missionary (who will not be named) took a shovel and dirt and said, "If elder Johnson is behind me, he might get clapped" and proceeded to throw dirt behind his back. Unfortunately, I was indeed behind his back and got clapped. I got hit in the head with dirt and the worst part is that a rock flew and hit me right underneath the eye. Some sister started screaming, "ThERe iS dIrT UnDEr his eYe" So we went over the to nearest emergency room but It w...

WEEK 84: Achievement Unlocked: God answers prayers

Image
Good morning good evening and good afternoon yall.  This past week I was transfered out of my last area in Posorja. It was definitely the toughest sector I've had on the Mish but I'm super grateful for all the lessons I learned there 🙏  Before transfers I had been praying for 1 of 2 things, to go back out to the península (the beach) with Elder Boyd or go to the guasmo with Elder Foutz. I pulled up to transfers and I don't know how but I got put with elder Boyd!  Him and I both started the mission at the same time and haver served in the same zones for over 9 months of our missions and we lived together a transfer. To say I am super grateful for this transfer would be an understatement lol.  This past week at general conference I really liked the talk that said we each need to find our personal, "Why". Why do we do the things that we do and what is our purpose in doing them?  Our focus should always be on christ.  DyC 6:36  "Look unto me in eve...

WEEK 83: Achievement Unlocked: Parasite Part 2

Image
Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening a todos.  Yeah so this past week I had to go to the hospital. I have been having some stomach problems for the past couple weeks and after doing some tests it was confirmed that I have another parasite 🥳 I literally am not hungry at all because of the parasite and my stomach constantly hurts. I just gotta eat healthier and kills this brudah off in the next week 💪 God's humbling me frfr with me being prideful and thinking that I can do things on my own and that I am better than others.  Roman's 14:17-19 17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.  18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. 19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. Testifico estas cosas en el nombre de Jesucristo amén.

WEEK 82: Achievement Unlocked: I Lost My Suitcase on a Bus

Image
Good morning, good afternoon, ans good evening ☀️ This past wednesday I ended Intercambios with some elders that live 1 hour away from us in bus. I put my suitcase on the bottom part of the bus because it was too big to take with me up top. We get off the bus with like 20 other people and before I know it, the bus is gone with all of my stuff.  I had my personal scriptures in english, my clothes, my study materials, chargers, etc. Luckily, before I left the house I felt the impression to take out my wallet which had 80 dollars in it.  We went to the bus terminal and found out that there are over 50 buses that come and go every 15 minutes to the terminal here in Posorja and Guayaquil (Guayaquil is 2 hours away from us in bus) and if I didn't know the bus number it would be hard to find... I didnt even know the bus had a number on it so I told her we didn't know the number.  We then texted the elders in Playas (30 minutos from us in bus) to check the terminal there t...
